Observation of the project progress, spec the road situation has changed due the revitalisation of the Dolalgaat - Sarping road. Several measurments to improve the health situation of the poorest have been worked out and are checked now for feasability.

Meeting with Mr. Anil and Mr. Bhim and Mr. Frank
We all are very happy to meet again.
1. Road Construction project
The road plans are finished up to a point 6 km before the junction with existing road. This also means that the road planning is in progress and it has to be clarified, till when the plans are complete, as PranaVerein has transferred the money for the completed plans already.
Furthermore the governmental bulldozer is working through the hard rocks where the construction ended some years ago. At the moment it is not to foresee, how the progress of this road will be, the government brings in ( according to the governamental planning as first step). So PV will check out the situation at the next visit there.
For the existing planning of the first 21 KMs PV will make a fotodocumentation, so that the sponsors can see how the road is planned.
The neighbour road is not anymore to use because of the monsoon, which made the road to slippery and there is no money for a sufficient gravelling. So seen from the point of view of the improvement of the health situation of the villagers by bringing in a road, that road should clearly be usable all the time. So this brings up the point of the monsoon managment system including water management, partly gravelling, and special measurements for the save monsoon operation of the road.
One point of the discussion was that are no rice terasses affected by the road. This is important because the region has not sufficient terraces available to survive, so half a years amount of foodo has to be brought in now. With the road there are probably additional terraces possible, what is to check out by PV.
2. Honey Bee Project
Mr. Anil brought complete offer from governmental side for education. This is a high priced governmental service, so more for commercial honey producers.
Next step is to check out NGOs with experience in honey bee keeping and look for cooperation with a successful running group for knowhow exchange and partnering.
3. Jungle fruits adn herbs
Mr. Anil brought complete offer from governmental side for education in identifing and collectiong jungle fruits and herbs. This is a high priced governmental service, so more for commercial fruit and herb producers.
Next step is to check out NGOs with experience in fruit and herb collection and look for cooperation with a successful running group for knowhow exchange and partnering.
4. Visiting the region
There is a group of international volunteers for third world projects in Nepal who are interested in the VASDON project from their side. So there is a plan to go togetherthere next week and stay for some days up in the monastry area of region for observation of the situation.
4.1. tasks
checkout spot for building a new farmhouse according to the knowledge of PV as an example for a smokefree and more hygenic house, building some terraces to plant flowers, herbs and spices as well for the honeybees around as for herbal
teas for improving the health of the region be this simple mean a little bit.
4.2. teas
Here specially 2 teas are most important: for lung problems (that come from the living in the smokehouses) and digestion problems (which come from unsufficient hygenic water and cooking)
4.3. chimney project
Mr. Anil will try to find out volnteers among the locals with whon we can talk about the smokehouse situtation and with whom we can build in their house a chimney to get the smoke out.
